PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The servo slow has been designed for use with retracts in model aircraft or slowing down flaps, but it could be used in other applications. The delay is adjustable for 1 to 15 seconds.
Features
Most standard proportional radio control servos can be controlled. (Not retract type servos.)
Transit times between approximately 1 second and 12 seconds may be selected.
A flashing LED is provided to indicate the number of delay units selected.
Instructions
Plug the flying lead on the Digital Servo Slow Unit into the selected channel on your receiver. Connect the servo to the Digital Servo Slow Unit. Switch on the transmitter and then the receiver. Movement of the transmitter stick will operate the servo at the maximum speed.
Use the transmitter to adjust the servo travel as required. When this is complete, you are ready to set the servo transit time. Please note that the servo transit time (delay) will be reduced in proportion to the servo travel. To obtain the full delay, set the servo travel to 100%.
The servo speed is adjusted by altering the number of delay units. As supplied, the Digital Servo Slow is set to a delay of one unit. The servo will move more slowly as the delay units are increased.
Set-up
With the radio system switched on, press and hold the key while counting the LED flashes. Each flash represents a unit of transit time. One flash for one unit, two flashes for two units up to a maximum of twelve flashes. The transit time is approximately one second for each flash. When the required number of flashes have been seen, release the key. The servo will operate at the selected speed. The unit remembers the settings and it is only necessary to store the settings initially and when making adjustments.
The servo speed can be adjusted at any time by repeating this procedure.
